The whole surroundings of the Labešky pond offer many interesting corners and idyllic views. Several sturdy specimens of native oaks and old solitary Scots pine grow right on the pond’s dam. On the left bank grow large groups of deciduous soft azaleas, which brighten the whole composition with pastel shades of colour in May. One of the most romantic buildings in the park, the Czech Cottage, stands on the pond embankment. The whole pond dam is a dominant feature of Obora, as is the castle in the first part of the park.
