Thanks to its natural thermophilic vegetation complemented by many exotic plant species, the rocky hillside above the Bořín pond, which is south-oriented, has been established as a natural alpinum. The entire hillside is very attractive in every season: in the spring, the aurinia flowers light it all up, while in the fall it is alight with all the colours of the autumn foliage. The whole area around the Bořín pond is the last part of the Park to be built and has been added to the original Park in 1908. Even after all these years, the harmonious integration of the new part is proof of the great compositional genius of the Park´s founder, Count Silva-Tarouca.
