On the northern side of the ridge leading to the Glorietto you can see the rhododendron ‘Arnost Silva Tarouca’ with light pinkish-purple flowers and wavy petal edges. It is a Průhonice hybrid bred by docent Kavka in 1941 and named in honour of the founder of Průhonice Park. Together with it in the group grow rhododendron ‘Aurora’, rhododendron ‘Lajka’, rhododendron ‘Lunik’ or rhododendron ‘Sputnik’, which are the original rhododendron seedlings from the breeding of Professor Scholz in 1943 and 1944, who concentrated on their hardiness.
